Massive Security Lapse in Punjab – Was it a Big Conspiracy To Harm PM Modi?

PM Modi was forced to cancel his events in Punjab today after he was stuck on a flyover for around 20 minutes because of protesters. It is indeed a massive security breach that has ignited a conflict between the Center and the Congress-ruled state ahead of elections.

PM Modi returned to the airport in Bathinda because of the breach, the Home Ministry said in a statement blaming the Congress government for failing to prepare for the visit. Home Ministry said in the statement, that “The PM was stuck on a flyover for 15-20 minutes. This was a major lapse in the security of PM,”.

This is unarguably the biggest security lapse for any Indian Prime Minister in recent years. The Center has accused the Punjab police of “conniving” with so-called protesters. Only the Punjab Police knew the PM’s precise route, the sources said.

Was it a conspiracy to harm PM Modi?

Well, the answer lies in the events. Today morning PM landed at Bathinda from where he was to go to National Martyrs Memorial at Hussainiwala by helicopter. Due to rain and poor visibility, PM waited for about 20 minutes for the weather to clear out.

When the weather didn’t improve, it was decided that he would visit the National Martyrs Memorial via road, which would take more than 2 hours. He proceeded to travel by road after necessary confirmation of necessary security arrangements by the DGP Punjab Police.

Around 30 kms away from National Martyrs Memorial in Hussainiwala, when the PM’s convoy reached a flyover, it was found that the road was blocked by some protestors. The PM was stuck on a flyover for 15-20 minutes. This was a major lapse in the security of PM.

The PM’s schedule and travel plan were communicated well in advance to Punjab Government. As per procedure, they have to make necessary arrangements for logistics, security as well as keep a contingency plan ready.

Also in view of the contingency plan, Punjab Government has to deploy additional security to secure any movement by road, which was clearly not deployed. After this security lapse, it was decided to head back to Bathinda airport.

Congress rejoicing the incident

Above all, CM Channi didn’t pick the call when PMO and SPG staff approached him after this incident. Later he called this protest ‘Kudarati’. Youth Congress President BV Srinivas takes a jibe on PM Modi and made this tweet.

Later he connected this with the farmers’ issues.

going by the statements and tweets of Congress leaders, it seems this was a pre-planned conspiracy to stop PM Modi from reaching out to the venue, bring fake farmers to block the road, and then attempt something nefarious.

Congress is known for making such evil plans in the past, as many of the congress leaders and their own PM candidate Rajeev Gandhi was assassinated by a conspiracy.
