Unrest in Gujarat on Ram Navami – ‘Peaceful’ Stone Pelting incidents in Anand & Sabarkantha districts

Multiple incidents of unrest have been reported from parts of Gujarat on the auspicious occasion of Ram-Navami, as two separate incidents of stone-pelting were reported from the state. As per the sources, the stone-pelting was orchestrated by the peacefuls in the Khambat City in Gujarat’s Anand district. This follows an incident of stone-pelting on a Ram Navmi procession reported from the Sabarkantha district.

After an incident of stone-pelting on a Ram Navmi procession was reported from Chhapariya village in Sabarkantha district of Gujarat, incidents of unrest have emerged from Anand district where a Ramnavmi procession encountered a stone-pelting incident by the peaceful group. The police have brought the situation under control.

Here it is important to note that on Friday, the management of an ancient Hindu temple in Banaskantha invited Muslims to offer prayers & break their Ramzaan fast, and today they have shown their true colors..

To bring the situation under control, the police personnel were forced to fire tear gas. Security has been beefed up in the area to maintain law and order. The visuals are two groups throwing stones at each other. Reportedly, District Police Superintendent was injured in the incident.
