From the last couple of months, the focus of the entire country is on the chaos of Bollywood. Since the alleged murder of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, we were served so many conspiracy theories and several issues like nepotism and drug abuse have been discussed in mainstream media.

There is a growing noise among the netizens to move the Bollywood from Mumbai to some other city, to reduce the dependency on Mumbai and to provide the options to the local talents. Amidst all these brouhahas, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made a promise to create the ‘most beautiful’ film city in Noida. The CM asked people to be prepared, as he is going to bring a film city to Noida and Greater Noida.

He made the announcement during a review meeting of development projects of the Meerut Division, comprising Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Hapur, Baghpat, and Gautam Buddh Nagar districts. Stressing on the need for a beautiful film city, Yogi Adityanath said Noida is prepared to take action.

CM Yogi Adityanath addressed the review meeting and announced to set up the biggest and most beautiful film city of the country in Gautam Buddh Nagar. He has given the appropriate instructions to the concerned officials to search for suitable land in or around Noida, Greater Noida, or Yamuna Expressway and prepare an action plan as soon as possible.

Noida already has a Film City in sector-16, where we have the Head offices and studios of most of the news channels. However, it is not that big, which can house the shooting requirements of big Bollywood movies.

Greater Noida would be a suitable option for extending the Film City and it will generate huge employment in the state, along with the massive revenue for exchequers. If this is implemented in the true spirit, then Mumbai’s status of the Film City of India will certainly be clinched by Noida.
