During a brutal study on animal behaviour at Harvard, US in the 1950s, Dr. Curt Richter placed few rats in a pool of water to test how long they could tread water.

On average they’d give up and sink after 15 minutes.

But right before they gave up due to exhaustion, fear of the unknown and lack of will to fight, the researchers would pluck them out of water, dry them off, patted them, let them rest for a few minutes – and put them back in for a second round of their struggle in water.

In this second try – how long do you think they lasted?

Remember – they had just swam until failure only a few short minutes ago!

How long do you think?

Another 15 minutes?

10 minutes?

5 minutes? No!

60 hours!

That’s not an error.

That’s right! 60 hours of continuous swimming.

The conclusion drawn was that since the rats BELIEVED, that they would eventually be rescued from drowning, they could push their body’s way past what they previously thought impossible to achieve. They did not gave up and continued their ordeal.

I will leave you with this thought!

If hope can cause exhausted rats to swim for that long, what could a belief in yourself and your abilities, do for you?

So let’s inject HOPE in people, Hope in society, hope in the world that this pandemic killing us as a natural disaster or a cyber war or a biological war by our neighbours, will surely pass and we can win over situation.

HOPE IS DECISION!!! Hope is decisive. Hope is round the corner

If we decide not be defeated then we can’t get defeated!!! So let’s inject HOPE in everyone’s life as the new Plasma!!!

I was down with Corona for 15 days and I told thyself, rise and shine and My Lord the one and only Gopaji Mathurawale is with me. He took me in his long arms and cared me and here I am writing your another column.
