RYA Madras Cosmo Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that works in the field of providing subsidised medicare facilities to the underprivileged and economically weaker sections society, has donated medical equipments to Government General Hospital in Chennai city to celebrate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day celebration.
This year the foundation donated ALPHA BEDS,LARYNGOSCOPE WITH LED BULS, BOUGIE FOR SCOPE,INFUSION PUMP, OMRON B.P APPARATUS 8712,OMRON NEBULIZER C28,WHEEL CHAIR,FOLDABLE SYRINGE PUMP, DISPOVAN SYRINGE 50ML (25’S PACK),NIV MASK,GLUCOMETER CONTOUR PLUS METER.
With “CARE THE UNCARED” as motto RYA Madras Cosmo Foundation are the only NGO to have adopted the Geriatric Ward in the Government Hospital (Vide G.O.No.38570/H2/95-96 dated 04-03-1996). Every month free medicines are dispensed to the patients of the ward.
The dream of rendering health for all by breaking the barriers of social inequality has come to its present form after 28 years of hardwork, determination, perseverance and focus on achieving this noble goal. The foundation provides services to meet the immediate healthcare needs of marginalised communities in slums, through standalone camps offering comprehensive health services curative, preventive, promotive and referral services.
Earlier in the day Managing Trustee of RYA Madras Cosmo Foundation Rajesh Chandan hoisted the flag and distributed gifts to staff of the Foundation. He stated that he was proud to see that Indians across the world are celebrating the Independence Day by hoisting the tricolor at their residence, workplace in large nos. He remembered the freedom fighters, martyrs and leaders who sacrificed the lives selflessly for this freedom. The Managing Trustee along with President of RYA Cosmo Sunil Ranka, Secretary of RYA Cosmo Vikas Lalwani,RYA Madras Cosmo Foundation Secretary Umesh Agarwal, Member of RYA Cosmo, Incharge of General Hospital Operations Sunil Mootha, Trustee Nirmal Ranka donated the medical equipments in the presence of Dean DR.E.THERANIRAJAN & Head of Department Dr.USHA at the Government General Hospital.
