Even in the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Jal Jeevan Mission which is to provide a tap water connection to each rural household ti prevent waterborne diseases Didi is creating obstruction to progress.

As per statistics available State of West Bengal has 1.63 Crore rural households with only 2 lakh rural households with tap connections in 2019. What a state of affairs in Bengal!

State of WB provided only 2.20 lakh tap water connections against the target of 55.58 lakh so far in 2020-21

Out of 1700 Cr alloted by Center from 2018 till date Bengal Government have spent 600 Cr only and the rest has been misappropriated.

At this rate their mission of providing tap connections to all rural households will take years.
