West Bengal is going to witness one of the most hard faught elections in its history. CM Mamata Benerjee led Trinamool Congress is getting ready for its third shot for the regime and primary opponent BJP is putting it every ounce to give a tough fight to TMC.
One of the biggest issues for this election is certainly the apathy towards Hindus in West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee, who assumed power in the name of ‘Maa Maati and Manush” has unleashed a brutal regime, where Hindus are at receiving end. TMC is known for its hard stance against anything related to Hindutva, they have issues with a chant of ‘Jai Shri Ram’, they have problems with ‘Durga Idol procession’, they are brutally manhandling and killing the Hindus, who are showing guts to speak against the pseudo-secularism of TMC. TMC and Mamata Banerjee don’t leave any opportunity to insult the Hindus, the fresh one happened while TMC released the list of its candidates.
TMC chief Mamata Banerjee has released the list of candidates for 290 seats, it is said that Mamta considers Jumme auspicious day, so on Friday itself, the list was released, Mamta herself announced to contest from Nandigram as she will not contest from Bhawanipur. While issuing the list of candidates, Mamta Banerjee not only took special care of the Muslims but also gave tickets to those who insulted Hindu deities and cast her in the electoral fray.
In the 290 seats on which Mamata Banerjee has released the list of candidates, there are 50 women and 42 Muslim candidates. Apart from this, 79 candidates from the Dalit community have been given a chance. One of these names is shocking, which is Bengali actress Sayani Ghosh. Yes, you heard it right, this is the same actress who once worked to hurt the sentiments of Hindus through Twitter.
Let us tell you that on 18 February 2015, actress Sayani Ghosh posted a picture showing a woman putting a condom on the sacred Hindu symbol Shivalinga. He captioned this picture ‘Gods cudnt have been more useful’ (God cannot be helpful anymore). Let us tell you that this tweet, which insulted Hindu culture, was done on the occasion of Mahashivaratri, which was celebrated on 17 February that year.
As soon as the actress’s old tweet went viral, there were a lot of reactions on social media, there were a lot of uproars, now this actress has been given a ticket by Mamta Banerjee. There is a lot of resentment among the Hindus for getting tickets to the actress who insulted the Hindus, as well as showing the appeasement policy of Mamta Banerjee.
This obnoxious tweet attracted massive outrage from Hindus. Former Tripura Governor and Bengal BJP leader Tathagata Roy lodged a police complaint against actor Saayoni Ghosh for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus through a post on Twitter.
Upon receiving massive hammering from Hindus, Saayoni Ghosh gave a shameless excuse and said that she was deeply saddened by the “harassment” and that the alleged post was uploaded in 2015 without her knowledge.
“The moment I was made aware of that [the post], I heavily criticized it and deleted it immediately after informing the public. I never had any intention to hurt the sentiment of my own religion,” she said.
However, this excuse is difficult to digest, how can these tweets be done without her knowledge. Here it is important to note that these so-called pseudo-secular political parties deliberately promote the anti-social elements, who abuse Hindus and Hinduism quite frequently. This is how these political parties give a signal to their core-constituency, that is Muslims, and Mamata and TMC are doing exactly the same here.
However, the question here is, for how long Hindus will keep protesting on social media?
Don’t you think the time has come to hit these politicians and political parties in elections and overthrow them once forever? Hindus should not tolerate such tactics and should not allow these political parties to take the benefit out of us.
Mamta Banerjee and her party TMC have insulted and oppressed the Hindus like never before. We have seen brutal murders of hundreds of Hindus who were either members of BJP or RSS. The Hindus of West Bengal should keep these facts in mind while exercising their right to vote and should vote for the party which can restore their pride and confidence.
Hindus should understand their collective power and should take the stand now, as we cant let these politicians abuse our religious sentiments. We cant let them take our religion for granted anymore, TMC and Mamata Banerjee’s anti-Hindu mindset and spawning political violence in the state, which has claimed the lives of over 100 Hindu BJP workers, this should be stopped now.
