After the ‘alleged’ Mauritius money scam which pulled out skeletons from the wardrobe for the Congress party, another scam unearthed by a leading news channel has put the Gehlots in a fix. According to a report by Times Now, the grand old party with its trusted aide Ashok Gehlot in Jaipur exported subsidised fertilizers for a whooping amount of ₹160 cr. The Enforcement Directorate has unearthed this scam and is further probing the matter.

The ED raided the premises of Ashok Gehlot’s brother earlier in the day in the connection with fertilizer scam case. As per the complaint and charge sheet filed by the Customs department, the ED has registered a criminal case under Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

It is to be noted, that amidst the political stalemate between Rajasthan CM and his once-aide Ex-Dy CM Sachin Pilot, the former’s son and his partner’s office premises were also searched last week

The premier probe agency raided 13 locations including Ashok’s son Vaibhav Gehlot and his partner’s firm as part of investigations in the decade old fertilizer scam.
