The denial of Genocide of Kashmiri Pandits should be declared crime and attempt to whitewash the history should be punished.

In order to honour and remember the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust as a result of Nazism, January 27 is observed as International Holocaust Remembrance Day (Auschwitz-Birkenau—as International Holocaust Remembrance Day). Russian troops released the detainees and inmates from the Auschwitz concentration and death camp on this day, January 27, 1945. Around millions of Jews died and were slaughtered at the Polish concentration camp in the past as a result of the appalling conditions, malnutrition, and forced labour. In gas chambers, elderly men, women, and children perished. Jews around the world continue to commemorate the catastrophe, which is eight decades old.

The displacement and ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits on the terrible night of January 19, 1990, when members of the community were compelled to leave the Valley as a result of threats made by terrorists trained and supported by Pakistan, appear to have been forgotten by the world. For the past 33 years, about 500,000 Kashmiri Pandits have been residing in their own nation as refugees. The entire community was forced to leave the valley as a result of calls coming from the mosque declaring Kashmir Pandits to be kafirs who must leave Kashmir, convert to Islam, or face death. They were instructed to leave their women behind if they choose to do the first of these.

Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri recounted the untold sufferings, tragedies, and atrocities of the mass exodus and forced displacement of Hindus from Valley in his successful 2022 film, “The Kashmir Files.” On January 19, 2023, the movie is scheduled to be rereleased in theatres to mark “The Kashmiri Hindu Genocide Day”. Denying the systematic genocidal massacre (Holocaust denial) is a crime in the West and Europe. Since the stories do not support their political agenda, political parties in India, including the Indian National Congress, National Conference, PDP, and others, have long sought to erase from the public’s memory the memories of killings, looting, plunder, rapes, and mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. The Political Parties have long tried to blame Jagmohan for the exodus. The Governor took charge on January 19th 1990 and the Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah resigned a day before and left for London. Forced migration arose from the Jammu and Kashmir due to Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah’s inactivity during the deafening shouts coming from the mosque, which led to the destruction of Kashmiri Pandit homes.

The Nationalist Narendra Modi Government should make denial of Hindu Genocide and Haolocaust in the country as crime. The facts regarding to Genocide denial and distortion is an attempt to erase the historical and civilizational roots of Hindus in the valley to create Majoritarian narrative sinister plot to secede the Kashmir Valley from India. The spine chilling tales depicted by “The Kashmir Files’ on the atrocities committed by Pakistan sponsored terrorist left the nation shocked during the initial release in 2022. The leftist ecosystem comprising marxist historians are complicit in whitewashing the atrocities committed on Hindus and determined to present distorted image of painting Hindus as oppressors. The film “The Kashmir Files” has been shortlisted for the Oscars by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), but it will continue to be the target of criticism from a variety of sources that wish to cast doubt on the movie’s veracity and historical accuracy.

With a population of about 10 million, or one crore, Jews have gotten their message across in international forums by bringing up the problem again and time again. And now that 140 crore Indians and 100 crore Hindus have awoken from their deep slumber, it is time to demand that January 19 be proclaimed “The Kashmiri Hindu Genocide Day” and that denying the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits be deemed a crime, much like in the West.
