Took her on a night out, celebrated her birthday, then killed her Shoaib Shaikh murdered his 11 year old girlfriend.

In Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, a man named Shoaib Sheikh strangled his girlfriend Amit Kaur to death. The deceased was a manager in a private bank. She was posted in Jui Nagar branch. Both of them had met only 3 months ago. Shoaib Shaikh is 24 years old, while his girlfriend was 11 years older than him. Both were dating each other since September 2023. Amit Kaur was divorced from her husband and also has a teenage daughter.

On Monday, when Amit Kaur returned from office, Shaikh met her. After checking in at the lodge, the two celebrated the woman’s birthday together. Both of them had used their respective cards to book the room. At midnight, the lodge staff saw Shoaib coming out, but they did not find anything suspicious about him. When the police opened the door, Amit Kaur’s dead body was found lying there. He was murdered by strangulation.

Monday (January 8, 2024) was also the woman’s birthday. Shoaib Sheikh planned that he would kill her after the birthday celebrations were over. He suspected that his girlfriend was having an affair with another man. Assistant Police Inspector Valmiki Kore of Saki-Naka has succeeded in arresting the accused. DCP Dutta Nalawade said that Shoaib Shaikh has confessed to the murder of girlfriend Amit Kaur in a lodge in Mumbai.

Shoaib Shaikh has been handed over to Turbhe police station. The victim lived with her mother in GTB Nagar. While her teenage daughter lives with her ex-husband. Amit Ravindra Kaur is also known as ‘Amy’. She used to work in IDFC Bank. The police have sent Shoaib Shaikh to jail by imposing Section 302 (murder) and other sections of the IPC. He also told the police that his girlfriend was cheating on him, that is why he murdered her.
