It seems the Ramjanmbhoomi case has paved the way to reclaim the lost glory and assets of India’s religious fraternities. In a recent instance, a lawsuit has been filed in a Delhi court seeking restoration of Hindu and Jain deities and the right to worship within the temple complex. Per petitioners, there is was a temple complex situated inside the Qutub Minar complex in Delhi.
This matter was listed for hearing before Civil Judge Neha Sharma, who then decided to hear it on December 24. The suit has been filed on behalf of Jain deity Tirthankar Lord Rishabh Dev and Hindu deity Lord Vishnu.
The petitioner submitted that even the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) has put the facts about these 27 temples, that these were demolished by invaders and then they reused the materials to construct Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, which was raised inside the Qutub Minar complex.
This case has been filed by advocate Vishnu S Jain, who asked the honorable court to declare that principal deity Tirthankar Lord Rishabh Dev and principal deity Lord Vishnu, along with Lord Ganesh, Lord Shiva, Goddess Gauri, God Sun, Lord Hanuman including presiding deities of 27 temples, have right to be restored and worshipped with rites and rituals, the performance of regular pooja within the alleged temple complex situated in the area.
The petition also sought the issuance of a mandatory injunction directing the Central Government to form a trust, according to Trust Act 1882, and to hand over the administration and management of the temple complex situated within the area of Qutub Complex.
Its a fact that there existed huge Hindu and Jain temples of Lord Vishnu and Lord Rishabh Dev as presiding deities along with Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesh, God Sun, and Goddess Gauri and Jain Tirthankars along with constellations, within the precincts of Qutub Minar. These temples were demolished by Qutubdin Aibak, a general in the Army of Mohamad Gauri, the Islamic invader who killed millions of Hindus and Jains.
