In an unprecedented turn of even, the NCPCR (National Commission for Protection of Child Rights) has written a strong-worded letter to Mandip Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner of Chandigarh, and asked him to take strict action against a Christian Pastor named Bajinder Singh, who was recently seen spreading forceful conversion propaganda while using a minor boy.

The Chairperson of NCPCR said that the organization has come across an objectionable video posted on Twitter, which showed the pastor Bajinder Singh using a minor boy for unusual superstition activity to influence people. As per the commission, the minor boy was seen crying in the video, and his body language was unusual, and Pastor was indeed using his emotions to lure people for conversion activity.

The NCPCR also expressed its displeasure over several objectionable videos available on social media in the name of Pastor Bajinder Singh Ministries and The Church of Glory Wisdom. Both the organizations are operating from Chandigarh and indulged in illegal conversion activities.

The NCPCR noted that prima facie these videos are promoting superstition and it is a blatant violation of the Juvenile Justice Act (2015) as Pastor was using children for such a nefarious agenda. Commission also pointed out that nobody in the video was seen using the mask and followed the social distancing norms, which is against a violation of COVID protocol guidelines.

The Commission has taken cognizance of the above under section 13 (1) (j) of the CPCR Act, 2005, and directed the Deputy Commissioner to inquire into the matter and furnish an Action Taken Report within the next seven days.

Mera Yeshu Yeshu’ – The conversion anthem doing rounds on Social media

A few days back, a controversial video of pastor Bajinder Singh along with a minor boy had gone viral on social media. This video was shot in a Christian missionary event where this minor boy was seen weeping profusely.

Pastor Bajinder Singh, asked the boy “if his sister could speak earlier”, to which the boy replied ‘No’. Then Bajinder asked whether his sister can speak now, and this time he answered in affirmative, at the same time the ‘Mera Yeshu Yeshu’ song was playing in the background.

Here is a glimpse of that video.

“Mera Yeshu Yeshu” basically translates to “My Jesus Jesus”. This song is used by Christian missionaries and evangelicals as a tool for religious conversion. Such videos are shared by these Pastors to lure the people in the name of “miracles”.
