Every day some new revelations are coming to light regarding the madrassas running in Uttarakhand. During the investigation of madrassas, a shocking truth has once again come to light. Information has come to light that more than 700 Hindu children are taking Islamic education in madrassas of the state. Uttarakhand Madrasa Education Council has sent this report to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights. The Commission has expressed concern over this by writing a letter to the Uttarakhand government.
According to the information, Director of Uttarakhand Madrassa Education Council, Rajendra Singh, when asked for information, informed the Chairman of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights that 749 Hindu students are studying in 30 madrassas of Uttarakhand. There are a total of 7,399 students in these thirty madrassas.
Of these, 21 madrasas are in Haridwar, 9 in Udham Singh Nagar and 1 madrasa is in Gular Valley Ramnagar in Nainital district. Haridwar has Jwalapur, Bahadarabad, Laksar, Tilakpuri, Mahavatpur, Roorkee, Mangalore etc. places, whereas, Dak Bungalow Kheda in Udham Singh Nagar district, Nai Basti, Lakshmipur, Jaspur, Kela Kheda in Bajpur area, Ganeshpura, Mahua Kheda of Kashipur.
