“Girls Empowered: Convocation Marks Success of Tailoring and Cosmetology Program”

Members of RCC DIVA participated in Convocation ceremony held for students at Madras Seva Sadan Chennai

A convocation ceremony was held today to celebrate the successful completion of a tailoring and cosmetology program for young girls. The program, aimed at empowering girls and making them self-sufficient, was attended by over 100 participants who received certificates for their hard work and dedication.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Mrs.Anjali, Mrs.Kritika, Mrs.Mahalaxmi, Mrs.Praveena who addressed the graduating students, congratulating them on their achievements and encouraging them to continue their journey towards financial independence.

In his address, the speakers highlighted the importance of programs like this in promoting equality and providing equal opportunities for young girls, who are often marginalized and face barriers in accessing education and employment. They also praised the participants for their hard work and determination, and expressed hope that they would become role models for other girls in their communities.

The girls who completed the program received hands-on training in tailoring and cosmetology, learning skills that will help them start their own businesses or find employment in the growing fashion and beauty industries. Many of the graduates shared their stories of transformation and how the program had helped them gain confidence, independence, and a sense of purpose.

The program was organized by a non-profit organization RCC DIVA FOUNDATION in partnership with MADRAS SEVA SADAN, and was funded by donations members of RCC DIVA who believe in the power of education to change lives. The success of the program has inspired plans to expand it to other parts of the country and provide similar opportunities for more girls in need.

As the convocation ceremony came to a close, the graduates left with a renewed sense of purpose and a brighter future ahead of them. They are a true inspiration to us all, and a reminder of the transformative power of education.
