Free Cancer Screening and Detection camp conducted by RYA Madras Cosmo Foundation

Dr Vikash Mahajan Senior Surgical Oncologist & Trustee Cancare Foundation addressing the audience regarding Cancer Awareness Campaign

RYA Madras Cosmo Foundation, in association with JITO Ladies Wing, organized a free cancer screening camp on Sunday, March 19th, 2023, at the Manoharraj Kamala Kankaria RYA Cosmo Cancer Centre. The camp aimed to raise awareness and detect breast cancer, cervical cancer, throat cancer, and oral cancer. The event was sponsored by the Manoharraj Kamala Kankaria Charitable Trust.

The screening camp was a success with over 100 people benefiting from the event. Doctors from the Madras Cancer Care Foundation, including Dr. Lakshmi Narayana, Dr. Kanimozhi, Dr. Jotsna, Dr. Kanagalakshmi, Dr Kapil Raj conducted the screenings. The Office bearers of JITO Ladies Wing Chief Secretary Sapna Betala, and Project Convenor Pratibha Rathod, were present at the event.

The Office Bearers of RYA Madras Cosmo Foundation, Managing Trustee Rajesh Chandan, President Sunil Ranka, Project Secretary Umesh Agarwal, and Secretary Vikas Lalwani, also graced the event with their presence. Members of RYA Cosmo Sunil Betala, Pravin Sancheti, Vinod Chajjer, Vinod Bhutoria volunteered for the camp.

Dr. Vikas Mahajan, a Senior Surgical Oncologist, delivered an informative cancer awareness talk, highlighting the importance of early detection and prevention. The event was a great success and could not have been possible without the support of the Manoharraj Kamala Kankaria Charitable Trust, represented by Managing Trustee Smt. Kamala Kankaria, Harish Kankaria, and Dinesh Kankaria.

RYA Madras Cosmo Foundation and JITO Ladies Wing remain committed to raising awareness and providing early detection for cancer. We urge everyone to be proactive about their health and encourage regular check-ups to prevent cancer.
