Ahmedabad Police recently apprehended Congress leader Hitendra Pithadia for disseminating a false photo and derogatory content regarding the newly appointed priest, Mohit Pandey, who is set to preside over the construction of the grand temple of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. Pithadia’s actions were deemed as inciting religious discord and offending Hindu sentiments.

The incident took place amidst the ongoing anticipation and celebratory mood surrounding the construction of the revered Ram temple in Ayodhya, a monumental project that holds immense religious and cultural significance for millions of Hindus worldwide. The appointment of Mohit Pandey as the priest for the auspicious task was a momentous event, symbolizing a crucial step in the realization of a cherished dream for many.

Mohit Pandey, who was appointed as the chief priest for the Ramlala temple, has been appointed as the priest here after a rigorous examination. Mohit Pandey has studied for seven years at Dudheshwar Ved Vidyapeeth, Ghaziabad.

However, the joyous occasion was marred by the deliberate spread of misinformation by Hitendra Pithadia, which included the circulation of a false image purportedly depicting Mohit Pandey, coupled with malicious and derogatory comments against him. Such actions not only undermine the sanctity of the religious proceedings but also have the potential to incite tensions and disrupt communal harmony.

The swift action taken by the Ahmedabad Police in apprehending Pithadia underscores the gravity with which authorities are treating such attempts to spread falsehoods and fuel religious discord. In a diverse and pluralistic society like India, where communal harmony is essential, any act aimed at sowing seeds of discord among communities must be dealt with firmly and decisively.
