In Ekoura village of Kishanpur police station area of Fatehpur, a communal dispute intensified on Saturday over writing slogans on the wall next to a religious place. However, this communal matter was going on for four days, and locals were accusing the police of not taking action against the Muslims.
As per locals, the Muslims have encroached on the platform in front of Masjid, and put some communal slogans on that. The communal tension that had been spreading in Ekoura village for four days was pacified when, with the efforts of the village head, both the parties embraced each other and resolved their grievances.
The issue created a lot of furor and the village head intervened and asked Hindus and Muslim parties to make a mutual reconciliation agreement and handed over the copy of the agreement to the top officials in the Administration.
On Saturday, the police had registered a case against ten known people and 15 unknowns for disturbing mutual harmony due to this communal dispute. On which on Sunday, the people of both the communities, in the presence of the village elite and Vinod, the representative of village head Shivkali, hugged each other and clarified the situation, and said that we are all one. There is no controversy, don’t spread any kind of rumors.
The administration also took action and removed the structure made in front of Masjid. Both sides have handed over Khaga to SDM, CO Khaga and SHO present on the spot. SHO Ashutosh Singh said that both the parties have reached an agreement, if the situation in the village is normal, then the cases can be returned. He also assured that no action will be taken against the Hindus who raised this encroachment issue.
This is a big win for Hindus, and this lead a way to follow in the future. We know that Muslims are known for encroaching the land unlawfully and then constructing permanent structures to usurp the public land. However, under the watch of UP CM Yogi Adityanath ji, such encroachment is not possible.
