Now the good news is, the Modi Government has taken another bold decision to stop this practice immediately. Medical Council of India (MCI) has announced that any qualification obtained from illegally occupied Indian territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will not be recognized in India. Any person obtaining medical degrees from PoK will not be allowed to practice in India at any cost.
MCI released a notice on Monday which says “This is to inform all concerned that entire territories of UT of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh are an integral part of India. Pakistan is in the illegal and forcible occupation of a part of the territory. Accordingly, any medical institution in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh (PoJKL) require permission/recognition under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956” as reported by DNA.
The notice further adds that no permission has been granted to any medical college in PoJKL, therefore, any qualification obtained from medical colleges located within these illegally occupied areas of India shall not entitle a person for grant of registration under Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 to practice modern medicine in India.”
We are pretty much sure that this step is going to give a huge shock to Pakistan and it’s supporters in India. Pakistani Government used to treat such Students especially, they were represented as ‘Hero’ or ‘Jihad Warriors’ to other students. In this way, the Pakistani Government was successfully alienating such Indian Students from the mainstream and using them as their moles in our system.
But not anymore, this time Modi Government has decided to set the record straight, and we are happy that Government has decided to hammer the Pakistan and their proxies in India.
