Surrender is a Sign of Strength

Date:

Share post:

There comes a time when surrender is a sign of strength. When one overcomes the desire for revenge and retaliation and the ego bows down to the reality of a situation, it is a sign of strength, not weakness.

In the words of Mahatma Gandhi:

There is a higher court than courts of justice, and that is the court of conscience. It supersedes all other courts.

To continue treading a warped path that can only lead to more death and destruction is a sign of loss of reason, and loss of all humanitarian values. This is the case with Zelensky. He is treading a path which can only lead to the total annihilation of his country and countrymen. Why can he not give up the raging anger he feels toward Russia? The defeat he is facing cannot be averted. His mistakes paved the way to the current scenario. He must seriously consult his conscience before proceeding any further.

He believed the lies told by NATO, and was a willing puppet of the USA. He was involved in the ethnic cleansing which claimed the lives of 14,000 Ukrainians. He has to be held accountable for the fury of nature which has been directed toward his country. This is the retribution for the crimes and corruption of his regime. He has no political acumen, no experience in diplomacy and no negotiating power left. How many thousands of lives would have been saved if he had listened to the advice given to him by the Pope? Surrender would have been a sign of common sense. To continue fighting now is not mere folly. It is a criminal act! He is sacrificing the lives of countless young Ukrainian soldiers for absolutely nothing except his ego-driven will.

His unabated pleas for more money and more weapons is a sign of a naive and childish temperament. Why continue a war which will obviously result in total defeat for the nation? This is the sign of an irrational and unstable mind. He must change his course immediately in order to protect the rest of Ukraine and the remaining lives of the citizens who have a right to refuse to fight anymore.

In the words of the Reverend Martin Luther King:

“We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.
