Priyanka Goswami always carry the divine company of Laddu Gopal with herself.

Priyanka Goswami became the first-ever Indian woman to succeed and win a medal in the 10km race walk at the Commonwealth Games on Saturday. She made the entire India proud on its culture by carrying a small statue of Laddu Gopal wherever she goes to compete.

As per the reports, Goswami was stopped backstage by CWG volunteer ahead of the medal ceremony for clinching silver in 10km race walk at the Alexander stadium.

She was seen holding her medal and a small metallic statue of Laddu Gopal (figurine of Lord Krishna).

The volunteers however asked her to keep the Laddu Gopal in her pocket for which she said, that How would they know what it means to me?” she nevertheless went ahead to get herself photographed with medal and Laddu Gopal.

The athlete sets an impeccable record as she is the first Indian woman to bag a silver medal in 10km race walk at the CWG with the timing of 43:38.

Priyanka gives credit to Laddu Gopal to help her in adversities, she said, “when the lockdown happened, everybody went crazy, so this is thanks to my mother. She said this would keep me well. I took it to Bengaluru national camp and kept it there for three-four months. I started doing well and qualified for the Olympics. Since then, I made sure this stays with me.”

The moment is scintillating for every Indian as the player showed love and affection towards the deity and believed in the almighty. Lord Krishna is believed to be the God of everything in everything.

The belief of Goswami and her family indicates the pride which every Indian should carry while representing their country in abroad.
