Films are consider as a medium of expression, they exposes the fault lines of our societies and inspire people to do better and constructive towards the society. However, in real life films are doing exactly opposite to this theory, expecially Indian films are known for abusing Hindus, showing them in bad light, and mocking their religion.
The Bollywood is known for its Hindu hatred, and we have countless number of movies where they have denounced the Hindu gods. In one such recent instance, Ranbir Kapoor’s character in Brahmastra movie was seen entering the temple wearing shoes, after which there was a lot of anger in the Hindu community.
On micro-blogging site Twitter, Ranbir Kapoor was also trolled a lot about this. Well, if we look at all these cases, all of them were seen in India till now, but now the insult of Hinduism has been started in abroad as well. The latest case is of Canada where the controversial form of Goddess Kali has been shown in a movie poster.
An indian filmmaker Leena Manimekalai’s documentary poster has created a massive controversy due to its content, which is causing uproar against the filmmaker. In this poster, an artist is impersonating Mother Kali, who has a trident in one hand and the flag of the LGBTQ community in one hand, while she is smoking a cigarette as well.
Filmmaker Leena Manimekalai shared a poster of her documentary ‘Kaali’ on Twitter on June 2, 2022. With this information with this poster, she expressed her excitement, as her documentary ‘Kaali’ has been launched at the Canadian Film Festival. Leena is a controversial filmmaker, who has gained the reputation of making anti-Hindu movie, or portraying Hindus in bad light.
As expected, the Hindus started expressing their anger against this poster. Now people who people worship Maa Kali are getting rightfully offended and demanding arrest of Leena Manimekalai through social media.
People are being fed up as such abuse of Hindu’s faith has become a daily routine for them, they keep on checking our endurance. People went ahead and even tagged Home Minister Amit Shah and PM Modi and equested them to take a stern action against this movie.

If those who insult Hindu deities come under freedom of expression then why don’t they insult Mohammed? This is bias. Hindus are beheaded for quoting directly from the Quran. Who is Leena Manimekalai?
She is an alleged filmmaker but a full time hypocrite. She is a known leftist and in the name of freedom of expression, she peddles her communist and anti-Hindu agenda. She has campaigned in support of the release of Mohammad Zubair. Leena Manimekalai wrote in a tweet dated June 28, 2022, Is the BJP building new jails? It is worth noting that an FIR has also been registered against Mohammad Zubair for insulting Hindu deities and calling saints as hate mongers. He is already in jail for creating a riot like situation in India with his social media campaigns and tweets.
Isnt this Blasphemous?
Blasphemy is among the most talked about subject in India these days. We are witnessing how people are being killed in the name of Blasphemy, However this seems a one way road. Where it is a crime to say anything about ‘their’ gods, but they are free to criticize, abuse , and demean Hindu gods as per their might.
This is certainly a case of blasphemy and people should come forward and denounce her movie at every possible platform. Indian Government must take a strong action against these film makers, who portray Hinduism in bad light, all in the name of freedom of expression.
