Trunicle is starting another section on Medical News. We will post various updates and latest news that occurs globally in the field of medicine. Since these days the world is engulfed in fighting the Corona pandemic , we would love to bring the recent developments and challenges faced by the Medical fraternity.

It is our privilege to have Dr Pravèen Kumar to enrich our readers with his insight.

Come 2021,India will be undertaking the largest immunization drive in the world.
It will have 1.7 bn doses ready. The one big gap that needs addressing would be cold storage facilities specially while transporting.

Till recently,PPE’S were all imported from China but the local textile industries got ramped up to produce PPE’S and now India is not only self sufficient with PPE’S,it has started exporting the same.

Likewise,it needs another in-house ramping up of cold storage chain within the country.

Given the track record earlier with mass immunization,India will do good job when it comes to mass community drive.Already the database of frontline workers are all ready through Aadhar card identification at the local district level.

India’s achievement in vaccination should be an example to the rest of the world when it gets executed to 1.3 billion population.
