What type of academic institution is Aligarh Muslim University, which produces a medieval barbarian like Farhan Zuberi, who openly threatens to behead people in the name of protest as if Law of the Land doesn’t exist?
On 16 January this year, Sharjeel Imam—a former JNU student and the Wire journalist, who is facing sedition charges now—had used premises of Aligarh Muslim University to instigate Muslims with his rabid and indefensible speeches; “We can cut off North East from the rest of India if we are able to organise 5 lakhs Muslims” so that the Army and other government functionaries cannot go there.
In May 2018, Aligarh Muslim University defended Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s portrait,—which has been hanging inside the students’ union hall along with other freedom fighters since last 80 years—by justifying that Jinnah had been conferred life-time membership of historic Muslim University Students’ Union back in 1938.
How can students of AMU host and bear hate speaker like Farhan Zuberi and anti national like Sharjeel Imam? Has AMU turned into breeding ground of radical Islamists, who blatantly issue Fatwa to behead non conformist of Islam? Was Jinnah a freedom fighter or the butcher of Direct Action Day 1946, which was an open invitation to riot in Hindu populated area, to slaughter Hindus, to rape their women, to loot their properties to assert its demand for a separate Muslim homeland? All the answers are hidden in the womb of AMU, which has been culprit behind partition of India.
In 1875, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, had founded Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College, which became Aligarh Muslim University in 1920. During the Revolt of 1857, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan had supported British Raj. In his speeches made at Lucknow on December 28, 1887, Ahmad Khan asked Muslims not to join the Congress and support only the British. He strongly influenced other Muslim leaders like Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah had once called AMU “the arsenal of Muslim India.” AMU’s teachers and students actively campaigned for Pakistan movement and mobilised support for Muslims League to form Pakistan for Islam. After Pakistan was formed they remained in India with their Jinnah mindset and separatist mentality, which is worrisome for India.
During anti CAA protest, ex AMU student, and Current councillor of JNU, Afreen Fatima, spewed venom, “भारत का मुसलमान बताऐगा जामिया मीलिया इस्लामिया और अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय से जो हमारा रिश्ता है वो ‘लाइलाहा इल्लल्लाह’ का है (Muslims in India would tell you Jamia Miliya Islamiya and Aligarh Muslim Universities are equal to La Ilaha Illalaha for us).
In April 1977, Aligarh Muslim University gave birth to the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), a terrorist outfit led by led by Mohammad Ahmadullah Sadiq and other bunch of students. Slogan of SIMI was: Allah is our Lord, Quran is our Constitution, Mohammad is our leader, Jihad is our way, Shahada is our desire’. SIMI, which was banned in 2001 shortly after 9/11, had declared Jihad against India, whose aim was to establish Dar-ul-Islam (land of Islam) by converting everyone to Islam forcefully by violence. SIMI is responsible for many bomb blasts across the country by plotting or offering logistical support to major terror attacks. SIMI is accused of networking with terrorist outfit like the Lashkar-e-Tayyeba (LeT), the Harkat ul Jihadi Islami (HuJI) and the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) from Pakistan.
Pre Independence, Aligarh Muslim University gave birth to Pakistan, first Prime Minister of Pakistan, Liaquat Ali Khan and first native Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army received their education in AMU. Post Independence, Aligarh Muslim University has either produced a radical Islamist, or an anti national or a terrorist organisation.
Why should India fund a university like AMU, which produces radical Islamists, anti nationals and terrorist outfit? As per the UGC annual report, annual grant to AMU with the total number of students, translates into expenditure of 4 lakh rupees per student. From taxpayers money Indian government is funding AMU to produce a rabid anti national, an Islamist and a terrorist outfit like SIMI. Let that sink in.
