A day after a big crackdown on Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, Khalistani terrorist and head of the banned separatist organisation Sikhs for Justice, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has decided to confiscate the properties of 19 Khalistani terrorists under section 33 (5) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The NIA has made a list of Khalistani terrorists based in foreign nations, including Britain, the US, Canada, UAE, and Pakistan among others, against whom major action is expected.

Earlier, on Saturday, the NIA also confiscated two properties of Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the US-based Khalistani terrorist and chief of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ).

The big action comes days after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau kicked up a massive diplomatic row between the two countries over the murder Khalistani terrorist, Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

These terrorists advocate for a religion-based separate state carved out from Punjab and many neighbouring areas in India, to be known as ‘Khalistan’. Sikhs For Justice has also conducted “Punjab Independence Referendum” in Canada and Australia. The Indian government has called the so-called referendums ‘unfortunate’ and asked the Canadian government to act against it.

Here is the NIA’s list, that includes the following 19 Khalistani terrorists:

  1. Paramjeet Singh Pamma, based in the United Kingdom (UK).
  2. Wadhva Singh (Babbar chacha), based in Pakistan.
  3. Kulwant Singh Muthada, based in the UK.
  4. JS Dhaliwal, based in the United States.
  5. Sukhpal Singh, based in the UK.
  6. Harpreet Singh (Rana Singh), based in the US.
  7. Sarabjeet Singh Benoor, based in the UK.
  8. Kulwant Singh (Kanta), based in the UK.
  9. Harjhap Singh (Jappi Singh), based in the US.
  10. Ranjit Singh Neeta, based in Pakistan.
  11. Gurmeet Singh (Bagga Baba).
  12. Gurpreet Singh (Baghi), based in the UK
  13. Jasmeet Singh Hakeemzada, a drug smuggler based in Dubai, UAE.
  14. Gurjant Singh Dhillon, based in Australia
  15. Lakhbir Singh Rode, based in Canada.
  16. Amardeep Singh Purewal, based in the US.
  17. Jatinder Singh Grewal, based in Canada.
  18. Dupinder Singh, based in the UK.
  19. S Himmat Singh, based in the US.

Indian government identifies properties of Khalistani terrorists abroad, revokes OCI cards

In a move aimed at curbing the activities of Khalistani terrorists operating from abroad, the Indian government has instructed investigative agencies to identify the properties of these individuals and cancel their Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) cards. This decision comes following the recent confiscation of the properties of Canada-based designated individual terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

According to sources privy to the matter, the government has taken steps to identify Khalistani terrorists residing in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. By revoking their OCI cards, the government intends to prevent these individuals from visiting India and thereby restrict their movements.

Earlier, Indian security agencies also released a dossier on Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, which highlighted that he visited Pakistan where he met Jagtar Singh Tara of Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), wanted in the assassination of Punjab’s former chief minister Beant Singh.

It was during that period that he was roped in by Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI, which helped him in organising secret training camps for Sikh extremist groups associated with the Khalistan movement in Canada.

Nijjar, who was designated as a terrorist by the Union Home Ministry, was also accused of working closely with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), led by Jagtar Singh Tara. His name also figured in the most wanted list handed over by then Punjab chief minister, Captain Amrinder Singh, to the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, in 2018.
