India-Canadian relationship hits new low – Trudeau blames India of killing Khalistani Terrorist Hardeep Nijjar

India-Canada relations hit a new low, when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday blames India of murdering a Khalistani Terrorist on Canadian land. He said the country’s security agencies were investigating a link between the Indian government and the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar earlier this year.

“Canadian security agencies have been actively pursuing credible allegations of a potential link between agents of the Government of India and the killing of a Canadian citizen, Hardeep Singh Nijjar,” Trudeau said while speaking at the House of Commons in Ottawa.

Hardeep Singh Nijjar was a khalistani Terrorist wanted for many crimes he carried out in India and Canada. He was killed in June outside a temple in British Columbia, raising tensions between Sikh separatists and the Indian government.

Trudeau said he had brought up the issue with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the G20 Summit as well.

“Canada has declared its deep concerns to the top intelligence and security officials of the Indian government,” Trudeau said Monday in the Ottawa legislature. The prime minister added that he raised those concerns “personally and directly” with his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, on the sidelines of the Group of 20 meeting last week in New Delhi.

“In no uncertain terms, any involvement of a foreign government in the killing of a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil is an unacceptable violation of our sovereignty,” Trudeau said.

Melanie Joly, Canada’s foreign minister, said she has expelled the head of India’s intelligence agency in Canada from the country.

Trudeau said his government has been working closely and coordinating with Canada’s allies on the case.

“In the strongest possible terms I continue to urge the government of India to cooperate with Canada to get to the bottom of this matter,” he said.

“I know many Canadians, particularly members of the Indo-Canadian community, are feeling angry, or perhaps frightened, right now,” Trudeau added.

Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc said Canada’s national security adviser and the head of Canada’s spy service have traveled to India to meet their counterparts and to confront the Indian intelligence agencies with the allegations.

He called it an active homicide investigation led by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Joly said Trudeau also raised the matter with President Joe Biden. Joly also said she would raise the issue with her peers in the G7 on Monday evening in New York City ahead of the United Nations General Assembly

Opposition Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre said if the allegations are true, they represent “an outrageous affront to our sovereignty.”

“Canadians deserve to be protected on Canadian soil. We call on the Indian government to act with utmost transparency as authorities investigate this murder, because the truth must come out,” Poilievre said.

Opposition New Democrat leader Jagmeet Singh, who is himself Sikh, called it outrageous and shocking. Singh said he grew up hearing stories that challenging India’s record on human rights might prevent you from getting a visa to travel there.

“But to hear the prime minister of Canada corroborate a potential link between a murder of a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil by a foreign government is something I could never have imagined,” Singh said.

Canada has become a breeding ground for Khalistani Terrorism

The Khalistan terrorist movement is banned in India, where officials see it and affiliated groups as a national security threat. But the movement has got tremendous support in countries like Canada and the United Kingdom which are home to a sizable Sikh diaspora.

Canada has indeed become a breeding ground of Khalistani terrorism, and most of the Khalistani terror groups and leadership is based in Canada.

Terrorist Nijjar had talked about an unofficial Khalistan referendum vote seeking a separate Sikh state. Indian authorities announced a cash reward last year for information leading to Nijjar’s arrest, accusing him of involvement in an alleged attack on a Hindu priest in India.

There have been longstanding allegations from Indian officials that Canada has been too comfortable with Sikh separatists who want an independent Punjab carved out of northwestern India. There are many elements in Canadian government, which openly supports Khalistani terrorist movement in India.

Trudeau Govt’s act are souring relationship of India and Canada

Trudeau’s speech highlights a souring relationship between the two nations. Last week, Canada and India have indefinitely postponed a trade mission to India, which had been planned for early October, after the prime minister’s contentious meeting with Modi in the Indian capital.

India has characterized a June protest outside its High Commission as an “attack” and its anti-terror agency is investigating. Modi’s office also publicly criticized Trudeau for allegedly tolerating “anti-India activities of extremist elements in Canada.”

India Strongly Rejects Canada PM Trudeau’s allegations

India has strongly rejected Canada PM Trudeau’s allegations. Ministry of External Affairs in a release says, “unsubstantiated allegations seek to shift the focus from Khalistani terrorists and extremists, who have been provided shelter in Canada.”

Trudeau still living in past

Trudeau is indeed delusional and doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He is really steering Canada into murky waters just to save face after all the drubbing he’s received. It is pretty sure that neither the US, UK or other developed nations would support this gimmick. Trudeau is still living in the 80s when his father (the then Canada PM) refused to extradite terrorists to India or when Canadian authorities could have but “failed” to stop the Khalistani bombing of an Air India flight in 1985 killing 329 people. The Canadian people don’t get how sinister their politicians have become to win votes en masse in certain constituencies.
