‘Uttar Pradesh Government’ recent announcement covers the distribution of 40 lakh tablets and smartphones for next five years.
The distribution is progressing under the Swami Vivekanand youth empowerment scheme, and will cover the students of final year for next five years.
With the intention to forward the scheme, the government in the last fiscal year had set the target of 17.7 lakh devices. However, companies were able to supply a total of 12.3 lakh devices to the government by March 31 and they were benefitted to students.
Senior government official said, that 5.4 lakhs devices were already procured and the remaining purchase of the devices has been tendered. Thus, to ensure the distribution of mobile phones to students pursuing graduation, post-graduation, doctorate and other vocational courses.
Official added, that 38 lakhs students have enrolled so far, but only the final year students will be shortlisted.
Also, in the coming year, 1000 crore will be raised in order to get the work done.
Through a general notification it was announced that the institutions and individual wish to contribute in nation and state progress to make youth smart is welcomed. The government however, had been successfully distributed the promised number of phones last year as well.
On many occasions, Yogi Government in order to expand the horizon of education in state, had distributed vehicles as well as laptops. The objective was to promote awareness of globalization.
Under-utilized youth is a marker of system’s inadequacy. Yogi Adityanath on many occasion addressed the situation of having the greatest number of young public who should be empowered. Educating the youth is the first step towards having the India that every citizen had imagined.
Business sector and education sector have been especially prioritized by Uttar Pradesh Government in last few years and periodical investments were also made.
The distribution under the scheme will eventually benefit the country in coming years.
