Afghanistan- Indian photojournalist Danish Siddiqui killed by Taliban Terrorists

Afghanistan is currently undergoing massive turmoil, as the Taliban is once again trying hard to enhance its hold over the nation, and this has created a disturbing situation in the country.

Amid all this, Reuters broke the news that its Indian Journalist Danish Siddiqui has been killed by Taliban terrorists during clashes that ensued in Afghanistan’s Spin Boldak district in Kandahar on Friday. 

Danish is a Pulitzer prize-winning Indian journalist who was covering the intense situation in Kandahar. As per the TOLO News, he was killed during a reporting assignment embedded with the Afghan Special Forces.

Reuters initially reported that he was wounded in the arm by shrapnel while reporting on a clash clash between Afghan security forces and Taliban fighters. He was talking to local shopkeepers when the Taliban attacked again.

Siddiqui and his colleague Adnan Abidi were a part of the Reuters team that won the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography in 2018 for its reporting on the Rohingya refugee crisis.

However, Siddique is also notoriously famous for covering the anti-CAA protest, Kisan protest, and Covid fatalities. Where captured sensitive pictures of last rites of people and then sold those pictures to the international portals.
