Salutes him for being a noble, life sustaining figure for one and all.

Stands by Dr. Samriddhi Bindroo and the family for their courage during their grievous loss. A Kashmiri Pandit never dies.

Our condolences as well to the families of the other two people killed on the same day Sh.Virender Paswan and Mohammed Shafi Lone.

GKPD convened a meeting of community members in a condolence meeting to mourn the tragic loss of Pandit Makhan Lal Bindroo who was shot dead by terrorists. This is the seventh killing of a minority member in the last month in Kashmir Valley. Dr Ramesh Raina, Padamshree K. N. Pandita, Krishen Kemmu, R K Mattoo, Ashok Kaul, Ashok Bhan and participants from 20 countries including USA, United Kingdom, Australia, Denmark, UAE were among those who attended the meeting.

There was unanimous support that the Government of India and the Union Territory be put on notice that no stone should be left unturned to arrest and execute as per law the killers of Pandit Bindroo and provide solace to his family and Kashmiri Pandits worldwide. Among other initiatives GKPD will file an update with the National Human Rights Commission India where it has filed a review of the community’s case for genocide and demand action.

GKPD International Coordinator Mr. Virinder Kaul stated, “Our families are intertwined with the Bindroo family, and our hearts are filled with sorrow. Brave warrior Pandit Makhan Lal did his dharma till the end. He will be missed greatly.”

Mr. Utpal Kaul, GKPD International Coordinator concluded, “Sadly, the State failed Pandit Bindroo in not providing him safety and security as a member of the Pandit community which has experienced continuous genocide in the Valley. The continuing spate of Kashmiri Pandit murders points to the abject dereliction on the part of the Government of India to over the last 30 years to provide a solution which gives justice, security and return and rehabilitation to the Kashmiri pandits.”

As we were still mourning the loss of these precious lives, news came of two more minority killings in Kashmir. Two teachers Mr. Deepak Chand Mehra and Ms.Supinder Kour have been brutally murdered in cold blood today 07.10.21.

It is amply clear to us that the targeted killings of minorities in Kashmir continues to remain unabated.

We strongly urge Government of India to take immediate measures to stop this massacre of innocents in the valley.
