Recently, a video clip of an event ‘The Telegraph debate 2020’ has been widely shared on social media platforms. This event was attended by six speakers including Sushil Kumar Pandit, Aishe Ghosh, West Bengal CM’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee, Swara Bhasker, Shishir Bajoria, and Abhijit Chakrabarti. They spoke on the topic ‘In today’s India, dissent has been made anti-national.’
West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee made a controversial statement where he accused UP CM Yogi Aditya Nath of instigating hatred among Hindus and provoking them to rape dead Muslim Women. This statement has been highlighted and being widely circulated on social media.

This video has been shared by many prominent Facebook pages and websites, with text written on it suggesting that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister once made a call for Muslim women to be dug up from graves and raped. In his speech, Abhishek Banerjee made this statement which is now being highlighted.
Several websites like London Post and Bolta Hindustan also published the articles, claiming that CM Yogi Adityanath in one his speech said that ‘Rape Dead Muslim Women.’
However, In Times of India’s investigation, the claim was found to be a false one. Indeed. UP CM Yogi Adityanath never made this statement. Times of India team, with the help of relevant keyword searches, found a short video clip of the contentious rally in which a Hindu Yuva Vahini leader made a call for Muslim women to be dug up from graves and raped, but Yogi Adityanath never made any such statement ever.
