Gone are the days when Naseeruddin Shah used to be respected for his artistic mastery. Now he is often in the news over his political views and for making controversial statements in the public domain.

He has become someone who openly speaks against Hindus, who is against the culture and ethos of our nation, and who concocted history to please a specific section of our society.

He has transformed into a person, who never shies away from expressing his hatred against Hindus. In a recent interview, Shah had spoken in detail about the inflammatory speech against Muslims in Haridwar Dharma Sansad. He said that ‘If they know what they are talking about, then I am surprised. They are calling for a civil war. We 200 million people are not going to perish so easily. We will fight. This fight will not be to protect the religion but to save our family and homes.’

Well, he is a good actor and an excellent orator, and that’s why he plays with the words and always justifies his evil statements. However, his recent statement clearly shows his support for Mughals and other invaders who not only destroyed our ancient heritage but murdered millions of Hindus.

In a recent interview with Karan Thapar of The Wire, he can be heard saying that Mughals have influenced art and culture in India.

He said, “The so-called atrocities of the Mughals are being highlighted all the time. We forget that the Mughals are people who have contributed to the country. They are people who have left lasting monuments in the country, who have left the tradition of dancing, music, painting, literature. Mughals came here to make this their homeland. You can call them refugees if you like.”

But as he is a brilliant actor, he knows how to make a perfect balance while making a statement. He gave a clean chit to Mughals and also made this statement.

He claimed that his father refused to go away to Pakistan at the time of partition. This was an emotional statement to cover up the potential damage his pro-Mughal statement might have caused.

However, in this article, we would like to reveal the roots of Naseeruddin Shah’s lineage, which may help you understand the reason why spew so much venom against Hindus.

Naseer’s father was a member of the Muslim league, the political party which led the idea of a separate nation for Muslims. It is important to know why did he stay back even after several members of your family left? What were the real intentions of staying back after contributing to partition and breaking up of the country?

Since we are discussing about Naseeruddin Shah’s ancestors, we should begin with his great-great grandfather Jan Fishan Khan. He was originally from Afghanistan. He served as a mercenary for the British against Marathas and was granted a piece of land for his services.

In 1857, Jan Fishan Khan fought along with the British against the forces of Jhansi Lakshmi Bai. For his loyal service, the British granted him land in India (Sardhana, UP) and a pension of 1,000 rupees. Then, he brought his family to India, and Naseeruddin Shah is his descendant.

In February 1857, 3 months before the war of 1857 against the British even started, Jan Fishan Khan leaked information to the British that he received rumors of a rebellion. His troops fought at Meerut, Delhi & Jhansi. He was made Nawab of Sardhana for his services to the British.

You can read how the Afghan Mercenary Jan Fishan Khan was made Nawab of Sardhana for siding with the British and fighting against rebel Indian soldiers in the “First War of Indian Independence” in 1857-58 in ‘The Golden Book of India” by Sir Roper Lethbridge.

It seems the treachery and anti-Hinduism is in the blood of Shah family. Jan Fishan Khan was a potent force against the Hindus, and today his great grandson is acting just like his great grandfather. Hope you understand why Naseeruddin Shah behaves in this way always, actually he cant keep his true intentions under the wraps, wherever he opens his mouth, he just exposes himself more.
