Unfold Inner Wisdom

Meditation for World Peace

“There is an ever-increasing state of chaos in the world; tension increases daily in the individual, in social life, in national affairs and international relations. The great and urgent need is for something to re-establish harmony in the individual human being and to give him peace; only from such an inner peace can wisdom and happiness be born. All that we call wisdom today, all knowledge, the whole process of endless fact-gathering must utterly fail to satisfy the real needs of man; for these real needs are called happiness, understanding and wisdom, and they are not vain and unworldly aspirations but man’s birthright…” Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of Transcendental Meditation

The world is in a critical stage, a transition stage. We are called upon to choose a higher wisdom or to cascade into a dangerous period of escalating conflicts and dissension. We have the ability to move forward into a more universal awareness of the inherent unity between all religions, all cultures, all collective human aspirations. Everyone wants to experience lasting happiness and fulfilment. This can only be achieved by expanding our vision. We must look deeply into the underlying fabric of life. There we will find a web of interconnectedness, of interdependence, a primordial symphony of life. This symphony cannot be broken. This web of interconnectedness can be directly experienced during meditation. It is an experience of infinite peace, inner silence and contentment.

This unified field is eternally vibrating, ever lively, though invisible.

The only solution to the present crisis is to unfold the inner wisdom we possess through meditation.

Meditation can enable us to expand the container of knowledge within and find answers which are not readily accessible to the worried anxious mind.

Plato said:

“For a man to conquer himself is the first and noblest of all victories.”

All wars arise as a result of massive stress in the collective consciousness of a nation. The stress erupts and causes outbreaks of turbulence. We can stop this from happening by enlivening the unifying element at the basis of life. This unifying element is pure consciousness, the deepest level of every human mind.

To conquer oneself is to bring the warring, animal propensities under the control of the higher Self, the inner divine nature. The higher self intuitively knows. It transcends the biases of the mind and is more in touch with universal truth. Unfolding our inner wisdom is the only path to peace and lasting harmony in the family of nations.
