International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21st June, this is a shining example of India’s growing soft power. Yoga Day is a celebration of the thousand-year-old culture of our country, which was promoted by our government all over the world. Under the ambit of the United Nations, almost every country celebrates International Yoga Day with great pomp.

Now let’s talk about some people who keep on diminishing anything even remotely connected with the Sanatana or Hindutva. These people either use cancel the Hindu culture or use concocted historical references to mislead people. These people are considered champions of history and human rights in the West, one such agent is Audrey Truschke.

Audrey is notorious for spreading misinformation about India and Sanatan Dharma, she has a soft corner for Mughals and other Islamic invaders, and this is the reason she supports them immensely. Whenever Audrey gets a chance, she tries to cover up Islamic evils, while trying to show the eternal Sanatan civilization in the wrong light.

On June 21, the Cultural Center of India and the Government of Maldives organized the International Day of Yoga at the National Football stadium. The event was attacked by the radical Islamists, this attack left the public speechless and led to a massive stampede.

In this video, you can see how suddenly a group of Islamic fundamentalists enter the field, carrying flags and placards with anti-yoga slogans written on them. They were opposing Yoga and calling it ‘Shirk’, which means un-Islamic.

The Maldives government is taking stern action against the Islamic radicals who disrupted the event. The issue made the headline as this was the first such incident in the Maldives that occurred since Yoga day has been celebrated since 2015.

Amid this unexpected event, where almost everyone is condemning this act of radical Islamists, Audrey has thought of giving it a twist to suit her agenda.

Audrey tweeted an imaginary story to mislead the people and divert the attention from an Islamic attack on a Yoga event to some fake Muslim Yogi in Karnataka.

Her ultimate objective was to create confusion among the Hindus, and thus she went one step ahead and raised the question over the origin of the Yoga itself.

So what exactly she is doing here? She is saying that Yoga is a mix of several practices and its origin can never be traced.

Now in this tweet, she has shown her true colors. She is trying to dissociate Yoga from Hinduism and Sanatan dharma, at the same time she also mixed the Hindu nationalist politics into this matter, which doesn’t make any sense at all. But hey, that’s what she is an expert at.

Audrey says that Yoga is multiform and malleable. Well, this is true, and Hindus are proud of the fact that our ancient knowledge and practice have attained a multiform and malleable for a wide variety of people.

As far as the origin of Yoga is concerned, it was being practiced in the pre-Vedic period, the great Sage Maharshi Patanjali systematized and codified the then existing practices of Yoga, its meaning and its related knowledge through his Yoga Sutras. It shows that Yoga is an ancient Hindu or Sanatana practice, which has evolved with the time.

Hinduism has always been a multiform, inclusive, and plurist in nature, and we certainly dont need a fake historian like Audrey to preach us this fact.

As far as Audrey is concerned, she has tweeted this gyaan to provide a firing cover to the radical islamist’s attack on Yoga event. She goes back 700 years back to find a ‘Muslim Yogi’ to claim Yoga isn’t Hindu. Accodrding to her, nothing good can never be indigenous to Hindus, everything worthy is India came from either Mughals or white colonial ancestors.

Well, that’s how fake historians act.
