A free eye screening camp was held on June 3rd 2022 at Rajasthan Youth Association (RYA) Madras Cosmo Foundation in Ayanavaram (9.00 AM to 1.00 PM) under the auspices of ‘SRI BADAL CHAND SUGANKAWAR CHORDIA’ Scheme.
As many as 109 people were screened for eye problems and 54 were recommended for surgery including cataract. Around 13 patients will be provided Spectacles.
A medical team from ‘Chennai Metro Mahaveer’ & ‘Shankara Eye Hospital Pammal’ came to permanent unit of RYA Cosmo Foundation at Shantidevi Jawaharmal Chandan day care & diagnostic centre.
Foundation Secretary Umesh Agarwal, Secretary Vikas Lalwani, Foundation Treasurer Naresh Rathore, Narendra Bothra, Nirmal Ranka, Vinod Bhutoria, Arun Bohra attended the camp.
The Chennai Wing of Akhil Bhartiya Marwadi Mahila Sammelan President Sharda Agarwal, Secretary Shalini Agarwal and Members participated in the camp by providing refreshments to the patients and promoted awareness about the eye camp.
RYA Cosmo, affiliated to the Rajasthan Youth Association is one of the most respected social organization in the metropolitan city of Chennai. The NGO distribute free medicines to needy patients in the Geriatric Ward and Cancer Ward of Government General Hospital at Chennai. They operate and manage a full fledged Medical Day Care Centre, Dialysis Centre, Cost-to-cost Pharmacy, Dispensary & Blood Bank that offer affordable medical assistance to the needy. With CARE THE UNCARED as their motto RYA Madras Cosmo Foundation are the only NGO to have adopted the Geriatric Ward in the Government Hospital in Tamilnadu (Vide G.O.No.38570/H2/95-96 dated 04-03-1996).
The NGO will soon inaugurate MANOHARRAJ KAMALA KANKARIA RYA COSMO CANCER DETECTION CENTRE for which the foundation was laid on March 2019, in the presence of Former Governor of Tamilnadu Thiru. Banwarilalji Purohit.
